i was on pinterest, as usual, and then i saw minori hanasato fanart (yes, the woman from the hit rhythm game featuring hatsune miku) that looked rlly good and unique and i was literally OBSESSED. then, muscle memory kicked in and i obviously had to check the comments, and i regretted that real badly.
THE ENTIRE COMMENT SECTION WAS LITERALLY COOKING THE ARTIST. someone literally said “can we stop babying ppl what the f*** is that thing” just bc the face proportions looked unusual. like TS IS JUST AN ARTSTYLE!!! IS THAT NOT IN UR DICTIONARY OR SMTH??
believe it or not, this happened to me many times too. i literally cant even count how many times ppl were like “ur art is not realistic!! that is like… so ugly bro… i can do better with ai!!” js bc i apparently “draw eyes too big” or bc i “make my characters either too expressive or emotionless”... WHAT THE HELL?! ART IS SUPPOSED TO BE A WAY OF EXPRESSING URSELF. ITS NOT SUPPOSED TO LOOK LIKE THE MONA LISA 24/7.
to everyone who bullies artstyles for absolutely no reason, please stop. this literally pisses me off more than it should.
